2026 MRC Low Impact Development Conference

Low Impact Development as a Shared Solution
MRC’s 6th Annual Low Impact Development Conference covers a full range of tools and highlights case studies that demonstrate cost-effective means to set and meet pollution load reductions, recharge groundwater aquifers, and prevent flooding. Following on last year’s success, the 2026 conference has a call for abstracts to encourage organizations across the region to share their projects, as well as a pre-conference field trip.

21st IRL Action Assembly
In July 2024, Marine Resources Council hosted a two-day Indian River Lagoon Action Assembly on the Florida Institute of Technology campus to address critical issues and develop actionable strategies for restoring and protecting the IRL. One hundred and forty-seven delegates and facilitators representing almost 100 different nonprofit organizations, businesses, and municipalities, along with a significant number of independent concerned citizens, volunteered their time and experience.
