MRC’s Mangrove Nursery

MRC is a state-licensed aquaculture nursery with mangroves in a variety of sizes from propagule seedlings to 10-foot-tall mature trees.

Available plant inventory includes:

  • red mangroves (Rhizophora mangle)
  • black mangroves (Avicennia germinans)
  • white mangroves (Laguncularia racemosa)

If you are located outside of the state of Florida, please note that interstate shipping requires quarantines, inspections, and treatments in accordance with state and federal law. These procedures take at least two weeks and cost approximately $400. Additionally, shipping of live trees out of state starts at $800.
